THE FINANCIAL DIET IS A WOMEN’S PERSONAL FINANCE PUBLICATION

The Financial Diet is the premier destination for young women to talk about money and all it touches. Whether the topic is fashion, travel, careers, or relationships, we drive a conversation that is open and un-intimidating — one where everyone is welcome, not just financial experts. We are not the place to get yelled at about investment strategy. We're just a really good conversation about money with your smart friends over drinks. The Financial Diet is an online platform, a YouTube Channel, and a book (available at most retailers).

SOCIAL MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY

Starting September 2018, I was retained as The Financial Diet’s Instagram Director. My responsibilities included:

  • Creating original content (macros, infographics, photography) and repurposing content (YouTube, website, book, and real life events) for their Instagram platform

  • Finding and collaborating with content creators and brands for cross promotional growth and/or sponsored content

  • Growing engagement and audience size to competitive level

  • Engaging with followers authentically and effectively

  • Redirecting Instagram traffic to YouTube channel and website

 

SUCCESS METRICS & ANALYTICS

From September 2018 and May 2019, I was able to do the following:

  • Verify Instagram account (approved March 2019)

  • Grow following from 60k to 161k in eight months using a combination of organic growth via unique Instagram strategy (by Sara & Company) and paid promotions

  • Grow engagement from 2.6% to 3.2%

  • Collaborate with brands including: Bumble, Mint, Wealthsimple, Girl’s Night In, Turbo Tax, Root Insurance, and Adobe Premiere, and more

  • Create original series on Instagram stories
